Hope Alive is a Protestant church that began in Tokorozawa City on January 13, 2019.
Even if you’ve never been to church before, we welcome you with open arms.

Q. What types of things do you do during worship?
We sing hymns to praise God, spend time in prayer, and listen to messages from God’s word shared by the pastor.
Q. Is it mandatory to sing the songs?
Singing songs is not mandatory, so if you’re hesitant, you don’t have to sing.
Q. Can non-Christians attend worship?
Yes, anyone is welcome to attend freely. Even if you’ve never been to church before, you are welcome here. If you have any concerns as a first-time visitor, please feel free to contact us in advance, and the pastor will be happy to talk to you about those things.
Q. Is there anything specific we need to bring?
Nothing specific is required.
Q. Is it necessary to make donations or give money when attending the church?
Donations are not mandatory, and if you choose to give, the amount you give is entirely up to you. “As Christians, we give because we want to be a blessing to others and as an act of trust in God ?
Q. Which denomination of Christianity does Hope Alive Church belong to?
A Hope Alive Church is a Protestant church and is affiliated with the Free Will Baptist Denomination.
Q. Which translation of the Bible do you use?
We use the New Japanese Revised Version 2017 of the Japanese Bible and the New International Version and English Standard Versions of the English Bible.
Q. Can I attend worship with my children?
Of course! We have Kids’ classes (0-12 years old) during the worship service, so your children can join them. Your children can also attend worship with you if you prefer.
Q. Can I attend worship in a wheelchair?
Yes, it’s possible. However, there is a small step at the entrance, so please inform our staff in advance if possible. We do not, however, have accessible toilets.
